In 2010 there were 384,000,000 items of e-waste discarded in the United States. Only 19% of these items were recycled; 81% were put into landfills or incinerated. That is 310,000,000 units or 1,790,000 tons were put into the trash! 142,000 computers and 416,000 mobile devices were discard EVERY DAY of 2010.
